Never Outgrow the Playground
For my class titled Design Manifestos, we were tasked to write a manifesto that featured our own unique take on design and what we believe is important when designing and creating. I decided that one of the main ideas I have when creating is to have fun and never take myself too seriously. I used this when creating my manifesto titled "Never Outgrow the Playground" which is a reminder to myself that I should use the sensibilities of the playground when designing. Additionally, we were required to create a physical manifestation of our beliefs so I decided to create a desk with legs that were extended transforming it into a piece of playground equipment. I wanted to do this as I felt the desk symbolises work and having it extended adds a degree of fun to it.
